Vanessa studied printed textiles at Middlesex University in London, specialising in designs for furnishing fabrics and wallpapers. She has sold her dress textiles in London, New York and Japan.

Her furnishing fabrics/wallpaper clients include Libertys, Colefax and Fowler, John Lewis and G.P & J Baker.

Vanessa is currently creating one off screen prints onto collaged grounds and lino prints on fine Japanese papers.

Using labour intensive traditional techniques she manages to capture the incidents of life, animating them with movement and warmth.

“My work is inspired by paintings from my immediate surroundings, be they the paraphernalia of country living or the ordered chaos of studio and garden.”
